[ The feed switches on and the first thing you'd see is the close up face of a Cyndaquil, making noises and moving its little arms at the screen until a voice pops in. ]

Axel, what are you doing? [ A pause, and the PokeGear is picked up, moving to show Xion next. She's propped against a wall, most likely sitting on something, but the thing that could be noticeable on her is the gauze pad covering most of her left cheek. She blinks at the screen, then looks back down where the Cyndaquil would be. ]

I guess I should show a bit of my progress... [ There's an affirmative chirp before she fully turns her attention to the PokeGear. ] I finally arrived at Cherrygrove. I'm in a PokeCenter right now.

[ She pauses as she presses a button on her Gear. ] It's still a little while before I get to Violet... [ And she does have to wait for Cecil. ] But we'll get there.

[ Axel is making more noise, almost as though it wants more attention, and Xion smiles slightly, turning to him. ] We made some progress, didn't we? [ Then she turns the screen to show her Cyndaquil waving happily, his flames a bit bigger and brighter on his back. ]

[ Lets out a short, soft one of her own. ] Why not? They probably already know about it, and that's why they do it.

It's the nice thing to let them believe that we don't know any better.

I guess the fact that it means that they're worrying over us...

It means they care, right? There's nothing wrong with that!

[ Nods. ] Yeah. Although, I don't know Leon well enough...

I didn't know him very well before I came here either, but there's something about this place... you get to know all sorts of people.

You've met a lot of people?

Yeah-- mostly because a lot of them know Sora.

A lot of people seem to be connected to him.

It's Sora, after all. He's that kind of person.

[ She remembers, yeah. And she also remembers... ] And you're important to him. [ She says this quietly, mostly to herself. ]

... He's my best friend.

It's good that he is. Best friends are nice. [ And also, if it weren't for you, her own identity might've just stayed a hooded doll forever. ]

Do you have one? [ Kairi'd be honored she could help, really. If she... knew any of this. ]

Only... [ Oh, wait. ] Maybe two.

You've got two, too? What're their names?

Axel and Roxas.

Your... [ and she looks curiously at the Cyndaquil; hadn't she called him Axel? ]

[ Notices the line of Kairi's gaze and smiles a little. ]

I named him after my friend.

... I bet your friend would be happy to hear that.

I wonder. He might be a little put off, considering how small he is.

But they evolve, right? Who knows, Axel could grow up to be huge one day!

He could! I'm actually looking forward to that... [ In the background, Axel cries out, almost saying, "Don't worry, I'll get there!" ]

I bet he'll look amazing.

I'll show him to you if he does.
