[ The feed switches on and the first thing you'd see is the close up face of a Cyndaquil, making noises and moving its little arms at the screen until a voice pops in. ]

Axel, what are you doing? [ A pause, and the PokeGear is picked up, moving to show Xion next. She's propped against a wall, most likely sitting on something, but the thing that could be noticeable on her is the gauze pad covering most of her left cheek. She blinks at the screen, then looks back down where the Cyndaquil would be. ]

I guess I should show a bit of my progress... [ There's an affirmative chirp before she fully turns her attention to the PokeGear. ] I finally arrived at Cherrygrove. I'm in a PokeCenter right now.

[ She pauses as she presses a button on her Gear. ] It's still a little while before I get to Violet... [ And she does have to wait for Cecil. ] But we'll get there.

[ Axel is making more noise, almost as though it wants more attention, and Xion smiles slightly, turning to him. ] We made some progress, didn't we? [ Then she turns the screen to show her Cyndaquil waving happily, his flames a bit bigger and brighter on his back. ]

Kairi. [ Blinks, unconsciously tapping on her left cheek when it is mentioned. Winces and stops doing it. ] It's just a scratch. I'm fine, really.

Did your Pokémon do that?

[ Quickly shakes her head. ] It was another one. We encountered some... birds on the way. I didn't think I should have let Axel take them on by himself, so...

So you joined the fight?

... Don't let Leon know, he gets pretty bad over stuff like this.

[ More or less. Nods. Since she couldn't use any type of powers, all she did was try and swat them away. Which is stupid, yes, but Xion is still new to this?

Sloooowly blinks. Derp. She just told said guy a bit about what happened there. ] Oh. Uh...

[ at least she has an excuse, Kairi got herself poisoned by a Nidoran trying to help it. THESE GIRLS. ]

[ FFFF, THESE GIRLS INDEED. B-But being poisoned is even worse... ;; Nods in slight defeat. ]

[ Kairi gives her a sympathetic glance before she puffs her cheeks out. ]

But on the bright side, you already took care of it, so tell him he's not allowed to glare at you too much!

Why would he glare so much, though?

That's just how he is. He does it a lot when he's worried.

So he ~~linefaces~~ glares to show he's worried... [ Xion finds that a bit odd. ]

Riku's kind of the same way, only he doesn't really glare... maybe they're embarrassed?

That makes them sound really shy. [ Sounds amused at this, more about thinking on Riku's side. Riku, shy? Huh. ]</small.

Don't tell that to them! [ she's giggling just at the thought. ]

[ Lets out a short, soft one of her own. ] Why not? They probably already know about it, and that's why they do it.

It's the nice thing to let them believe that we don't know any better.

I guess the fact that it means that they're worrying over us...

It means they care, right? There's nothing wrong with that!

[ Nods. ] Yeah. Although, I don't know Leon well enough...

I didn't know him very well before I came here either, but there's something about this place... you get to know all sorts of people.

You've met a lot of people?

Yeah-- mostly because a lot of them know Sora.

A lot of people seem to be connected to him.

It's Sora, after all. He's that kind of person.

[ She remembers, yeah. And she also remembers... ] And you're important to him. [ She says this quietly, mostly to herself. ]
