[ It's the morning and Xion dreams.

It's all vague, really. Images with little discernible familiarity. Doesn't mean that some of them don't. She dreams of a boy with short, red hair; of two short swords of black and white. She dreams of... Lightning-- in armor. She dreams of speaking with someone blonde - Namine? - but the sounds are jumbled, but she can hear clashing of steel and armor grating, and red-

-she dreams of Axel. Chakrams wreathed in flames coming at her. His grin- "Got it memorized?" There's Roxas, and the times they ate ice cream together. The last time they did. "This is why I was created."

Created, and yet she looks like Kairi. Ah, Kairi. She dreams of the time they spoke. Friends disappear. Friends are disappearing. Sora disappears; Sora comes back. That's right, she was created to absorb power-

"You were always a failure to begin with."

She was defeated. She couldn't win. "--sham. Worthless." There's a feeling of hopelessness and despair. It's a different scenario, but the feeling is the same. She can't help her friends-

She lets out a scream, both in her dream of memories and in the real world as she snaps awake, bolting upright in her bed. ]

-ah! [ Realizing what she's doing, Xion clamps a hand over her mouth and hopes no one heard that. She's still in the Breeding Center. She's... safe, yet cold sweat drips down her face. ]

Nngh... [ She holds her head after briefly looking out the window. Still early, but her mind and her... her heart are racing wildly. But her thoughts are interrupted by a snapping sound of an egg cracking open. Beside her, the mystery egg she found over a week ago is hatching, and after a few moments... this rolls out of the remnants of the shell, almost flopping as it blindly moves on the bed.

Forgetting her earlier thoughts, Xion scrambles to get the Gear and pop it open. ]

[ Video ]

"Deino, the Irate Pokemon. They cannot see, so they tackle and bite to learn about their surroundings. Their bodies are covered in wounds."

... huh. I've never head of this one before... --Wait, it's covered in wounds?

[ Forgetting that it just hatched, Xion focuses on that detail a little more than necessary and inches closer to the rolling Deino. It did pause when Xion spoke and is cautiously sniffing the air as Xion holds up a hand closer to it. ]

Is it really hurt?

[ Once her hand is close enough, the Deino sniffs, pauses, and opens its mouth- ]

Ow!

[ Welcome to Xion's life, Deino! ]

[ In case it makes her feel better, Fang's had a very rude awakening. Who had the worst timing in getting her team together? That's right, this person!

As such, Fang's sitting cross-legged on her bed, wearing none of her usual jewelry or the top part of her sari. Next to her, Light is alternatively fascinated and frightened by a Charmander's tail flame, reaching out a hesitant paw to bat at it before jumping back and racing around in circles and repeating the whole process. The Charmander in turn is watching a lump burrowing under the blanket which pops out and reveals itself to be a Larvitar. Is it any wonder Fang looks a little worn? ]

I wouldn't worry about him bein' hurt - he did just hatch. You, on the other hand-

[ There's the sudden sound of claws scrabbling against a hard surface, and an Axew comes plummeting into the picture, landing on her back on the bed but rebounding easily, looking none the worse for wear. Fang closes her eyes, then reaches over and pulls the Axew onto her lap before refocusing her attention on Xion. She's kinda lost her train of thought in the commotion. ]

-shouldn't be stickin' your hand next to something that bites just to figure out what's around.

But the PokeDex said- ow, ow, please let go-!

[ Rough mornings, they have them! Xion is curious at the sudden growth of Fang's team, but she'll worry about that one when the Deino isn't trying to dig its mouth into her hand. ]

[Xion you can never win can you? Roxas just sort of sighs at the screen, glad it's just a bite on the hand. Xion's tough, it could be a lot worse. There's also a joltik in his hair.]

[ Yes, she can't, but at least Roxas has faith in her endurance! ]

It... It kind of stings. Um, ah... What is that in your hair, Roxas?

[ Trying to pull, but for a baby Deino, they're pretty strong in their grip. Sheesh. ]

[ Cue her showing the Deino's mouth chomping on something else. ]

No, none of them can, and I don't want to risk Bell using Metronome. [ She groans a bit as the Deino just pulls on her hand when she tries to pull away. ]

[ Did she honestly scream and expect no one to rush to her aid? While Saber's the type of person to wake up super early (thanks Shirou) and be out of her room by 5 in the morning, she does rush back when she recognizes the girl's cry.

So here's one Saber slamming the door open with a kitchen knife in hand and a Flareon at her side, fur puffed up and all. ]

Ah. Xion? [ Did she seriously cry out cause of a Pokemon hatching... ]

[ Xion lets out a squeak that is more startled than she lets on, blinking up in surprise at Saber's appearance... before her mind drifts back to the Deino trying to gouge her hand with sheer force. ]

Saber! S-Sorry, I- [ Was being stupid, loud, and making a mess? ]

[The yell makes Yukiko jump for a moment. She's been in her room more often since Chie left, but the yell makes her leave it to check on how Xion is. She didn't catch the video on the Gear because of how quickly she'd rushed out too.]

[ When the door bursts open, Xion startles out of her current predicament, but it seems like the Deino grinds harder on her hand. ]
