Is... Is this thing on? [ The video feed shows her picking up the PokeGear and lifting it up closer to her face as she scans it curiously. Shakes it a little before letting out a small sigh and her finger comes up to press more buttons, and she blinks, as a minimap appears on the screen. ]

... "the world of Pokemon." [ She frowns a bit. ] But what am I supposed to do? How am I even... here?

[ Her expression dissolves into a thoughtful as she continues to scan the map, a dot on the map indicating her position. Then she looks off to the side, to the road nearest to her, before turning back to screen. ]

This thing doesn't seem like it'll give me answers... [ Reaches up to slowly turn the PokeGear off. ]

[ Upon seeing him, recognition flashes in her eyes, but Xion carefully, this time, holds in the urge to say his name outright. Instead, she slowly nods. ]

Yeah... I'm beginning to get that.

[ If he sees that flicker of recognition, he says nothing. ]

Welcome to Johto. [ It's not...sarcastic, but it's a touch on the dry side, definitely. ] You're here either to train or breed pokemon.

[ Oh, for the love of--he's not explaining. ]

Nevermind. You do have a pokemon with you, right?

[ Wise choice! She turns to her Cyndaquil. ]

[ That takes his attention--it's what Squall has. ]

A fire-type...good. It'll keep you warm.

[ Ah, and all this... excitement, for a lack of a better word, had her forget about that little tidbit. Now that he brings it up, she shivers, using her free hand to rub her other arm. ]

I-I should still find us a place...

[ He shakes his head. ] New Bark Town doesn't have much in the way of shelter. There's another town, three days' walk to the west. Cherrygrove.

Really? [ People did mention that it'd be a few days worth of travel to get to the next town, but to hear the exact number... ]

[ He gives her a brief nod. ]

Before it gets any colder. [ A beat. ] Who are you?

[ There's a moment as he attempts to recognize the name; no luck. ]

Nice to meet you, Xion. I'm Leon.

[ Sees that pause, but doesn't make mention of it. ]

Leon... [ Wasn't it another word? ] Thanks.

Try to stay warm.

[ He's still eyeing that coat. ] Are you with the Organization?

[ She was going to respond with an "I'll be fine," until he brings that up. She almost hesitates, but shakes her head. ]

[ He nods; he's not going to press further. If she's lying...they'll deal with it later. Right now, stripped of powers and with only a small Cyndaquil, she's harmless. ]
