[ She backs up into Shirou, summoning her other Keyblade in hand. Hearts... She didn't have a heart, but she had a Keyblade. And Shirou... They were surely going to go for him.
That's not gonna happen. He's been too kind to her as a stranger then to acquaintances and maybe... Maybe they could be friends? ]
I'll make an opening. You get to somewhere safe.

[ And one of these baddies makes a charge for her, but with two quick strikes she has it burst and a heart floats out into the sky. Two more of these swipe at her body, but she simply whacks at them both to oblivion. ]
Go!

2.) Run

[with nothing else to say, Emiya Shirou has decided to stay and fight. there was strength in numbers, and he couldn't leave Xion. what if she reverted back to her berserk state again without him? what if he never saw her again? he hadn't done enough for her, he felt. and once these were taken care of, they could go back to what they were doing. if he was going to run, he was only going to run with Xion by his side. it's almost seamless, but Kanshou & Bakuya are back in his hands once more, his back to Xion as he's ready to take down these enemies. the weapons of the Heartless... these swords were nameless, composed of an element rather then something divine. he could project them if he so wanted to, but in the end, there was nothing special about these swords. only darkness. darkness that he was going to overcome with Xion. the resolve in his stance and eagerness to strike and protect her was all she needed to see. he wouldn't back down. really, did she expect someone as adamant as him to just run on his own?]

Her thoughts stop short when a Shadow emerges from the ground and tries to swipe at her with some of its other brethren following suit. She whacks that one to the side and fires up a Ragnarok to try and their their numbers. She fights, and at the same time, making sure Shirou doesn't get overwhelmed himself. ]

and then the Shadows emerged from the ground. crossing his blades in an X formation, he swiped down and outward to take them down before they could get a proper chance to swipe at him. although much to his surprise, before a couple of them could be destroyed, the Heartless sunk back into the ground where he couldn't even reach them]
Oh no you don't!
[thrusting Kanshou and Bakuya into the darkened ground, it was almost like he was being surrounded by a pool of darkness, it seemed that when they were in this state even his swords had no effect. this was an enemy that he had no idea how to fight. what were the Heartless? he'd defeated that one with a dark sword easily enough by moving faster, but as he saw more, soldiers accompanying them as they danced around their prey, it was like they didn't know who to go for. the one with a heart...or the one with the blade that drew them here. if he stayed within this circle of darkness he'd be swallowed up by it. that much he already knew. the magus lifts his blades out of the ground, watchful eyes noting the soldiers that danced in and threatened to tear away at him. sparks flew as he clashed with their claws, but rather then strike back at them, he leapt away until he was closer to Xion again]
Xion, what's a Heartless?

[ Only the Keyblade could release their hearts, stop the Heartless from continually spawning in their current area and time. But darkness is always in a person's heart; if people weren't just... if people didn't let their darkness consume them...
No, she can't think like that. She can't think further on that when she concentrates even harder this time, reaching into the pool of power she's gained from absorbing strength from Roxas. Her Keyblades are pulled close to her body, forming an X over her face, and then-
Xion cries out, releasing that energy of light in the form of large, long beams bearing down on the vast majority of the Heartless' numbers
hi, Tales Of's Judgment. Haah... and she didn't even feel tired. She can do it again. Wipe them all out completely. ]no subject
...
[whenever he destroyed one, he didn't notice a heart floating away. it certainly was less gruesome then the actual thing, but who was he to question the form of the heart? magic was supposed to be a secret to the common world, after all. perhaps there was more to the heart then Shirou could understand. anyway, that wasn't the problem. the problem was--]
My swords aren't killing them then...
[his grip upon Kanshou and Bakuya tighten. Xion could release their hearts... so what was it about her swords that could do the job that he was lacking? if he could only project the Keyblades, he could make a difference maybe]

Look out!
[ With great strength despite her small frame, Xion pushes Shirou off to the side. However, now that her back is turned, a large, monstrous hand smashes into her back with great force into the ground. Something is cracked or possibly broken in her body at that. A large, booming sound reverberates around the area when her body makes contact with the floor, blood choking up and out of her mouth with a strangled gasp, and one of her Keyblades fly out of her hand and slides near Shirou. ]
Uhh... Urgh...
[ Xion struggles to stand, but the hand remains, putting even more pressure when the monster feels the movement. Hey, Shirou. This is staring down on you while he keeps Xion pinned to the floor. ]

Gah! [it was like everything went in slow motion in that instant. he saw the humanity in Xion's brilliant blue eyes as she saved him in kind, shoved him out of harms way. reaching out to her in vain, his blood froze up the very moment that gargantuan hand came down to crush the armored girl. it was sick. the way blood was choked from her and surfaced out her mouth, this was on the verge of becoming something nightmarishly gruesome]
H-Haah...
[she'll die. Emiya Shirou will die with her if nothing can be done about this monster that had so suddenly appeared. strangely enough, if only momentarily, it seemed the rest of the Heartless had ceased their activities in wake of the now weakened Xion. a heart as strong as Shirou's or the wielder of the Keyblade... it seemed they made their choice as Shadows lingered and pooled around the hand that continued to crush Xion. he couldn't find his voice, watching the person he'd just saved earlier slipping away with each passing second]
...
[the ice melts, his blood starts flowing, adrenalyn and anger begin to swell within him as he immediately forces himself to his feet. despite his body's protests, despite the warnings that he'd die if he attacked the Heartless, all he could think about was saving Xion. to him, nothing else mattered now. without looking he leapt, Kanshou and Bakuya poised as he screams out]
Let her go!!
[that arm... he had to cut that arm that was holding her! it had to be as thick as Berserker's; but would it be as tough to cut? for Emiya Shirou, there was no compromise. he would kill this thing and take Xion to safety. ignoring the rest of the Heartless around him, he raised the twin swords as he jumped into the air, ready to bring them down against the arm of the Darkside Heartless pinning her down]

[ Try as she might want to warn him beforehand, there was still the Darkside's other arm to consider as it comes around to punch Shirou from his charge.
Despite the heaviness of the hand on her body, Xion continues to try and free herself from its grip. She grips her one Keyblade tighter before reversing her grip and driving the point inside the palm of the Heartless. It roared in its own way, letting go, but that was cue for the smaller Heartless to gang up on her anyway and keep her where she is, swallowed by a pile of skittering Darkness. ]

A-Ah-- [as he crumpled to the ground where he'd first started, Shirou's swords fell from his hands, the will to keep them in this world gone as they broke apart and scattered away with the wind. he could hear the skittering of the Heartless as they closed in on something...someone... who? who did he fight for? what was her name again?]
no subject
Urgh..! [despite the fact that he'd lost a lot of feeling in his body, his hand moved over the groove of something. something of which he'd never held before. the very moment that he did though, he saw it. with whatever coherency was left in his mind, he remembered. the girl who had attacked him, wanting to put an end to her suffering, the suffering of her friends... when she saw no other way out, who was there to show her the way? he didn't know her. but she was someone who deserved to be saved. did it matter who he knew and who he didn't?]
Xi...on... [his eyes clenched shut, he defied his body's state to move, almost pathetically so as he rolled onto his stomach and coughed. raising his head, one...two...three, he opened his eyes. all that greeted him was darkness. was that right? was he supposed to see nothing but pitch black? look harder, Shirou. she's in pain. being swallowed up by the darkness that would soon claim him, he was helpless. gritting his teeth, Shirou wouldn't have noticed if he busted one of them in the process. he was pissed off. he didn't want to die like this. he didn't want to lose Xion like this--!] Ahh...!! [clutching the foreign object he'd felt earlier in his broken daze, he saw it again. he saw her again. brief glimpses of still images... the Keyblade. he could see the Keyblade, but he couldn't analyze its structure.
origin unknown. components unknown. unable to trace or project. what he could see was its wielder. he saw her smile. he saw her break down. he saw her battle him, crying puppet and throwing away any sense of worth he was fighting for in her. such strong emotions and feelings that resonated within the heart of the faker magus]

the darkness was in his way. he couldn't see Xion because the darkness he had yet to cut away was still there. if his power couldn't liberate her from it, then he'd just take what could. to him he didn't care about what belonged to him and what didn't. all that mattered as he denied death and surpassed his body's limits was that he had to see Xion again]
I told you...

LET HER GO--
[--they appeared. his magic circuits didn't activate or take a toll on his body and yet they returned to him. nothing was drained, or rather he didn't acknowledge it, two matching Keyblades appearing in his maddened grip. black and white. yin and yang. two swords under one ideal, they may as well have been a single weapon wielded by Emiya Shirou. they sported an appearance much similar to the weapons he favored so much. with these in hand, he'd destroy the darkness!]
6/6
[he bolted towards the pool of darkness, mindful of whatever the Darkside may have attempted for rushing in, but he wouldn't allow it this time. bringing the twin swords down, he swung wildly and yet with a purpose, swarms of Heartless that had piled on Xion being destroyed in single blows. the trapped hearts inside floated away one by one, Shirou hacking away at the mess of darkness that just about took away his friend. with a battle cry, he didn't stop, thinning everything out as he made note of others that could attack him]

Oh. Her right eye. One of the Heartless, and their claws... Shaking her head, Xion summoned back both of her Keyblades and joined Shirou in thinning the numbers, while also keeping an eye on the Darkside. The monstrosity is quickly recovering from her maiming of its hand, and it's rearing its hand back for another strike at the two.
In her state, she couldn't have them dodge both. Despite the pain, despite the fact she's overworking herself despite the large amount of power she's gained in this form, Xion prepares another attack, and her Keyblades light up with power.
She's not going to let Shirou die here.
Once she'd clear a path for herself and took care of most of the smaller Heartless, Xion literally flies at the Darkside, Keyblades dazzling in coats of light as she initiates an Event Horizon. ]

the Keyblades Shirou wielded held the same full hand-guard that many Keyblades had, the blades curved much like Kanshou and Bakuya were. and at the end were what appeared to be splintered edges to make the end of the key shape. it was almost like a contorted version of reinforcement, an idea that the magus couldn't help but wonder if he could apply to these. could he use his magic with these Keyblades? he could only do one thing, yet...the potential was as endless as the blades he carried upon that hill. when he had the time to understand the Keyblades, he'd consider what could be done. until then? this was enough. clashing with the claws of two Soldiers that leapt up at him, the white blade reached in and cleaved them in two. more hearts released. just keep fighting. don't stop. don't stop or you'll die, his body told him. the moment that he summoned those weapons, it seemed the Heartless couldn't decide who to properly go for. in fact, many tended to gravitate towards Shirou when they would attack either one of the two without purpose. a strong heart backed by the power of the Keyblades, Shirou had become a newfound target for them]
HAAH--!! [he smashes through the helment of another Soldier, sweeping out the black blade behind him as Shadows attacked. with a style that was his own, that would be his own, it was like he was a completely different person when he fought with those swords. even with the weapons he originally projected. it was Archer, the memories of his battles throughout the Holy Grail War. Archer's battle tactics, his knowledge, his weapons, they all flowed within Emiya Shirou to create another faker. and he could only get stronger from there. divide himself from what made Archer who he was. after all, they were completely different people in his head. unlike him, he had no regrets. wouldn't have no regrets. it wasn't until he mowed down three of the Invisible that he realized there weren't that many left, impossibly bright flashes of light taking place behind him as Xion rushed down the Darkside.
help her. fight alongside her. she couldn't possibly beat that thing alone. on instinct, he whipped around and just...stopped. it felt that everything except Xion froze in his eyes, entranced by the power she was unleashing. it was rough, aggressive, but with a purpose. it was almost like Saber with how she guided her blade...]

The Darkside tries to fight back, but she's too fast and small despite the power she's displaying. She buries the Keyblades into its limbs like a hot knife into butter, the light splintering the dark easily. But her doing this attack now means she's nearly reaching her limit...
With a cry and a thrust of her Keyblades skyward, Xion calls four pillars of light to tear through the area and eliminate the rest of the Heartless and Darkside once and for all. ]

!
[this was bad. Xion was going to do more damage to herself then to the Heartless at this rate if her body couldn't take the output. even as she summoned forth those pillars of light that eradicated the remaining Heartless and the Darkside, Shirou couldn't help but call out to her, despite being blinded]
Xion!!

Still, she can't fall now. Slowly lifts her head back up and face where Shirou is before struggling and... failing to stand on her own two feet now, and promptly lands on her rear in a clatter. ]
Haah... Are you okay, Shirou?
