[ Good afternoon, Johto. Y'might be greeted to an odd sight today as Xion's Gear comes alive thanks to Bell the Togekiss (who somehow has managed to work it despite not having any... arms, per se). ]

Hah! Yah!

[ Wooden Keyblade in hand, Xion's swinging at an invisible enemy like this. A jump, and she tries an air combo. Least she's not doing any of the fancy stuff she knows, and even if she could, her now human body would make it difficult to do so anyway.

But the expression on her face... and the amount of force it looks like she's putting into the swings... Someone hasn't had a good night nor sleep, that's for sure.

She stops when Axel the Typhlosion walks into view. Training time? Don't we all love some training time! Xion goes into a stance until Axel fires a spurt of bright, hot flames at her. Dodge roll, then she swings at his chest, but obviously makes sure she misses on purpose. She doesn't want to hurt him.

A minute or two of this passes, and somehow, Bahamut the Gible scampers into view. He bumps into the back of Xion's leg, making her stumble slightly, distracting her enough that she can't stop Axel from swiping her wooden Keyblade out of her hand. Clattering to the side and out of reach, Xion only has a few moments before Axel swipes at her again. Guess what happens when you take a Keyblade out of their wielder's hand? Especially when she can't summon it back...

No hand-to-hand experience, either. She tries to block the blow, but then he just... headbutts her. Bearing in mind Bahamut is still behind her, she tries to fall where she doesn't squish him.

Thud.

Xion: 0 | Axel: 1

She lets out a shuddering sigh, maybe a bit frustrated, but not at Axel or anything. At least Bahamut walked out unscathed as he comes up to her face and licks her cheek, but she doesn't move herself from the sandy floor. ]

I need to change this.

[ Seeing all this, Bell thinks the spectacle's over and shuts the feed. ]

[ Blows at her bangs. She's not even bothered that Bell must have recorded all of that for others to see her failings. ]

Perhaps you could obtain one from that breeding center? Or there might be wild ones living on the nearby routes.

I could. [ It takes her a bit to continue as she's trying to calm herself down for now. ] But I'm fine. I figure I should try and strengthen the team that I have now.

The Ice Path would be ideal, if you wish to train Axel. However, Bell and Bahamut would be disadvantaged.

Right. Type advantage?

[He nods.]

Ice-types, as the name says. And bats, but those are common enough to need no introduction. In fact, catching one of the local Pokémon could help you a lot in the long run.

[ Sits up and straightens so she can get her Gear and place it in her lap. ]

Which one would you recommend?

I love my Delibird dearly, but his natural abilities are... unreliable, you could say. Swinubs are part Groud-type, and Jynx are part Psychic-type; you could simply choose the one your current attacks cannot cover for. However, I saw very few Jynx, even though I spent a week there.

Hm... Bahamut is Dragon/Ground, so that's covered. So Jynx are rare?

They are. They're also evolved Pokémon, from what I've heard, which means they'd be naturally stronger.

Were you okay afterward, though? [ I mean... staying in a week of a place called The Ice Path? ]

I taught my Blissey Flamethrower with a TM, and my Altaria learned Heat Wave from a Move Tutor. A few days of cold were not enough to trouble us.

That's good. [ Ah, always prepared, Cecil! ] Where is The Ice Path?

Between Mahogany and Blackthorn. While the path itself is long to cross, its ends are close to the cities. It makes gathering supplies easier.

Hm. I'm still in Olivine. Maybe when we get back on the road.

Roxas will leave to earn those badges sooner or later. That'll make a good occasion.

Yeah, he will. But I don't mind having stayed here for a while. Olivine is a nice place.

That it is, though I have to admit I've always favored Goldenrod.

Why Goldenrod? [ Genuinely curious. ]

It's quite lively, and extremely practical if you need supplies.

[Also, he didn't spend enough time there to be tired of it.]

I was only there for a bit... but, yeah, it really is busy. I should go back there one day.

I'll have to bring Rosa and Kain there, someday. I think they'll love it.

Heh. Would they? Maybe that should be your next trip.

Perhaps. Then again, I did promise Leon to come and visit.
