[ Bam! The feed opens to one big, blue eye staring directly at the screen before Xion moves away with a mischievous grin. The angle of the camera suggests the Gear is lying upon the floor before Xion stands, does a... "dance" and turns to try and climb the really tall tree right next to her. Strange? The answer lies in the Zorua tail sticking out behind her. Up, up, up, "she" goes until "Xion" settles on a thick enough branch way up in the tree and cries out triumphantly.

Then silence. Then "Xion's" victorious cries gain a smidgen of fear. Guess someone finally discovered how high up they really were and just realized they didn't like it and is now having trouble even wanting to back down. For a few minutes, the Zorua cries out for help, and-- ]

--there's my Gear. What is i-- huh? [ Before she could even pick up her Gear, the real Xion looks up to where her Illusion self is trapped. Instead of exasperation, Xion soon worries about why the heck he's up there, and from the way he's crying out, he's not sounding particularly happy. Xion quickly pulls out a pokeball and summons Bell the Togekiss and stating why she called her out for. Now hopping onto her Pokemon and floating all the way up to her Zorua... ]

Shadow? I'm here now - come on. [ She holds out her arms. ] We're really high up, so be carefu--

[ Shadow suddenly leaps onto Xion and Bell, still stuck in his trainer's form and immediately struggles to get a better position on the Togekiss. Unfortunately, this dislodges Xion right off of Bell with a small gasp and-- ]

Oomph! [ Ouch, her stomach lands on a branch just a little ways down, knocking the wind right out of her that she couldn't recover fast enough to hold and... promptly slips off the rest of the way down with a thud and a cracking sound.

It's several moments before Xion's prone form slowly sits up from the ground looking more... well, winded than actually injured. She only winces when she shifts and feels her stomach protest, but more importantly... Xion blinks and looks behind her. Dismay is immediately shown as she pulls out the broken handle of her Keyblade, the "blade" split cleanly in half. Long, suffering sigh here as Bell and Shadow - who's still in Xion's form - look on in worry. ]

At least it's not a broken bone...? But now what am I gonna use for training again?

[ Despite being mostly at fault, Shadow is on the receiving end of a pat from Xion before she turns off the feed with a slight grimace. ]

[ And sometime after: ]

Are people going to enter that Pokemon that was just announced? What are your thoughts on team make up? I'd also like to remind others that Riku's Training Center, located in Celadon City, is offering up a lot of help to prepare for that upcoming event. It couldn't hurt, right?

[ Nope, not even fazed about what happened earlier. ]

[Etro and fal'Cie, Xion, one of these days you will give her a heart attack. Thankfully, that day is not today, and since she gave herself time to breathe before making the call, Lightning doesn't seem all that concerned.]

You okay?

[Just making sure, that's all.]

[ To be fair, it all only looked bad. Probably some bruising, but again, nothing on her own body's broken. This time. ]

Yeah. It just sounded worse than it was. It's just a bruise.

You're not hurt again, are you?

I'm fine, really! I think that branch broke my fall on the way down.

[This time is a good time. For now, at any rate.]

That's good to know. [It is, really. Buuutt:] You should probably keep a better eye on your team before this happens again. You may not be so lucky next time.

[ lol yup, there's that lecture. Xion nods, though. ] Got it. Though I think Shadow now knows about his own fear of heights, so he won't be doing that again.

[It was only a matter of time.] Probably. Couldn't hurt to watch him a little more closely from now on. [A short pause, then she shrugs one shoulder.] Though he might end up clinging to you for a while, too. You'd know how he'll react in the long term better than I do.

[ She smiles at that. ] I'd like that more. Maybe in due time he'll behave better. I'll try my best, Lightning.

That's good. I kind of have to worry though.

[Despite the wooden blade getting most of the damage, mama is still worried, ergo-]

EEK! Xion?! Are you all right?!

[The noise seems to attract the attention of a shinx and said pokémon mews up at the two, almost as if to ask if they're okay. That only lasts for a moment however, and her eyes grow big at the sight of the big tree and its branches. It looks like so much fun to climb! How high up can she get?

She wiggles in place before jumping at the trunk, attaching herself firmly before trying to claw her way up. That doesn't last, however, as the hand of her trainer reaches out to pull her off by the scruff. Sasuke, the owner of the offending hand and the now protesting Shinx, glances down at Xion once he's sure that his pokémon isn't going anywhere.]

... What was it?

[What? He's seen her hanging around the others, and he could at at least ask about the... Was it a weapon? He didn't know. And it didn't look like she was hurt anyway.]

Are you all right?

[Because that looked painful, and Chris is slightly worried.]

I'm thinking about it, but right now I'm still working on getting to Azalea Town so I can take on the Gym Leader there.

I definitely know that Umbreon wants to join it though. And I think my Togekiss might want to too.

Yeah! Yeah, I'm fine. I wasn't really hurt.

[ At the voice and at the Shinx, Xion briefly jumps on her spot on the ground. Oh, she's seen this guy before - mostly hanging around Riku and his group, she remembers. For courtesy's sake, Xion quickly stands and dusts herself with one hand before turning to Sasuke. ]

This was, uh... my practice weapon. A Keyblade. [ Not anymore, though. Shadow the Zorua, still in his trainer's form, tugs on Xion's sleeve while Bell flies up and watches. ]

Are you sure? No blood, or bruises, or scratches, or trauma?

Yeah! Sorry for the disruption.

[ She just has bits of leaves and twigs sticking to her form at various places. Nothing too bad. ]

So that's two down, right? What about your third? Good luck at Azalea Town, though!

No? [ Pause as she feels her stomach and slightly winces. ] Well, maybe on my stomach, but really, I'm okay.

Well, yeah. I mean, I know you can take care of yourself, and I figure that you can get yourself out of trouble, but I still have to worry about you.

I've been thinking about participating, but I have no idea who I'd use. Everyone here seems interested.

[ At that she smiles. ] I wish you didn't have to, but... we're friends. I still worry about you even if I don't see you, Roxas.

It's okay. I was just resting having just arrived at Cherrygrove City. It was a welcome distraction from what happened on Route 29. Your Pokemon are uninjured?

That's complicated. You'd want to give everyone a try, right?
