[ The feed switches on and the first thing you'd see is the close up face of a Cyndaquil, making noises and moving its little arms at the screen until a voice pops in. ]

Axel, what are you doing? [ A pause, and the PokeGear is picked up, moving to show Xion next. She's propped against a wall, most likely sitting on something, but the thing that could be noticeable on her is the gauze pad covering most of her left cheek. She blinks at the screen, then looks back down where the Cyndaquil would be. ]

I guess I should show a bit of my progress... [ There's an affirmative chirp before she fully turns her attention to the PokeGear. ] I finally arrived at Cherrygrove. I'm in a PokeCenter right now.

[ She pauses as she presses a button on her Gear. ] It's still a little while before I get to Violet... [ And she does have to wait for Cecil. ] But we'll get there.

[ Axel is making more noise, almost as though it wants more attention, and Xion smiles slightly, turning to him. ] We made some progress, didn't we? [ Then she turns the screen to show her Cyndaquil waving happily, his flames a bit bigger and brighter on his back. ]

[ She's frowning a little at that, but sighs. ] I know, but there were several of them, so I couldn't just let him go it alone.

[ Xion blinks and stares at Naminé's Pokemon. Didn't that look like the one that saw her and... evolved into something different? And there is something called hair dye, Naminé... could use it to cover that up. ]

Later on, you'll eventually face tougher pokemon, and Axel will be too weak to fend them off. You have to let him do a little battling, at least, so he can get stronger.

[Yup! Sadly, Naminé doesn't that have that many happy moments enough to make her own little egg derp evolve yet.]

[ Ah, Naminé. Always so calm and logical. Hangs her head for a bit. She understands now. ] Alright. I'll try not to interfere. [ The keyword there is "try." ]

Is that your Pokemon?

I think he loves fighting though. I know it's strange, but you need to get used to it.

Mm? Oh, yes. This is Salty.

[Xion gets some excited chattering from the egg pokemon, flailing her arms a little. Hi person-who-looks-like-trainer!]

[ Nods. ] I will.

[ She smiles in greeting at the Togepi, and waves back. ] Hi, Salty. This one looks like the one that evolved by seeing me when I was talking with Sora.

[Naminé has to keep the gear out of reach since Salty starts reaching for it again. Cue pouty little egg.]

They're supposed to evolve from happiness. I guess I haven't been happy enough for her to reach that stage yet.

You haven't been happy enough? What's wrong?

[Salty starts hassling her trainer for it, and Namine plunks the restless egg down on the hood of the coat she's wearing. The disgruntled egg pouts and buries its face in her hair with a yawn.]

It's nothing, it's just...

... I guess I'm just not used to being happy, that's all.

[And a sad smile appears on her face.]

[ At that, Xion has a worried look on her face. ]

You should. I know I don't know enough to say why you should, but...

You shouldn't be the only one unhappy.

I know. It's been getting better.

[She's just been worrying a lot lately.]

Really? [ For the few times she has talked to Naminé, the other girl just seemed... well, mellow, but a bit down at times. ]

Mm. It's just lately there's a lot going on that's worrying me.

[This might also include Xion's own arrival.]

[ She looks down slightly. She can't help but get the feeling... ] Am I... one of them?

[Namine lets out a sheepish sigh, smiling a little.]

Sort of. After what happened, I was the only one who remembered you. It's kind of difficult to explain to Roxas why he can't remember you.

[She plucks a sleeping Salty out of her hood, setting her down on her lap.]

... Roxas probably thinks it's my fault again.

[ She tilts her head at that last part. ]

"Again"?

You know what my powers are, right? That I have powers over Sora's memories and those around him.

... Did something happen with Roxas again?

After he left the Organization, Sora still needed him in order to be complete. DiZ... ordered Riku to capture him, and he was hidden in a virtual version of Twilight Town until the time they would merge. I was tasked to temporarily erase his memories and implement false ones, so he can live peacefully in the virtual town while I worked on Sora's memories, and to keep him away from the Organization.

[And she lets out a sigh at that.]

I guess I really am just a tool.

[ She actually remembers seeing the moment where Riku got Roxas, but after that... Well, at least Roxas stopped him from going on the self-destructive path. Though, in essence, it was sort of wrong, at least Roxas got a reprieve... before joining Sora, too. ]

I don't think so. [ A beat. ] And in here, all of that doesn't matter, right?

Mm. I'm glad we're all here.

[And she promptly shuts up before saying anything else. Sometimes knowing too much really is terrible.]

[ Nods in agreement at that. Well... sort of. ] I still want to go back. [ Even though going back means going back to Sora. ]

... why?

Even if everyone is here... what's happening over there? Is it really okay to just leave it like that?

[ Yeah, she's been thinking about this on her little journey. ]

People say time stops in our world once we arrive here. I think so too.

About two weeks ago, I fell asleep for a whole week. My mind came back home, and everything was just how I left it.

Sora mentioned something like that. [ She looks confused now. ] But time stops when we're gone? How?
