[Video | Action for Goldenrod City]
This might not... Ah, how do I ask this? Lately there have been disappearances, but there have also been reappearances, and--
[ Hello, Johto. The feed snaps on showing a Garchomp and a Typhlosion curled up almost contentedly in a circle around their small trainer like sleeping guard dogs. She's sitting against the body of her resting Garchomp, one hand holding the Gear while the other holds a pencil against her chin in thought. Deciding she can't really put her question any other way, she goes: ]
If you could give yourself notes if... if you disappear and come back to Johto, but with no memories, what could you tell yourself? What's worth remembering?
[ She tilts her head to the side, silently hoping she isn't bothering people with this sort of question, but it's been nagging her mind for a while. She continues to jot down a few more notes, quietly muttering some of them: ]
You know who you are. You're Xion. Xion. [ Scratch, scratch goes the pencil. ] You... have a Cyndaquil named Axel. You got-- oh!
[ Xion puts the pencil down for a moment and sifts through her pocket and pulls this little trinket up. ]

You can win if you just try.
Notes to Myself [ OOC: Badge is mod-approved! If anyone wants to personally interact with Xion, she's hanging around the rooftop of Goldenrod's Department Store. You could also get ice cream. ]

- Your name is Xion. Xion.
No. I - You started with a Pokemon called a Cyndaquil. You named him Axel. There's also Bell, a Togekiss now, who you retrieved from Sora when you were first here. It's complicated.
- Roxas is here. Namine is here. Roxas knows about who you are and what you are. He's still your best friend. Namine is also your best friend.
- You've made lots of friends: Lightning, Leon, Cecil, Sora (yeah, he's here!), Riku, Ventus, Minnie, Fang, Lancer, Saber, Talim, Kari, Rangiku, Atsuro... and many more. And the people that disappear. Please don't forget them. It'd be kind of ironic that be would, huh?
- You're in a group to fight Team Rocket. They're the bad guys.
- Your friends are your power.
- At whatever point in time you're coming from... the future isn't that scary at all. You know you're brave.
You finally...

Don't have to make it sound like I was lurkin' about. I just got here - didn't want to interrupt. Guess you were pretty wrapped up in your notes there.

I was just really trying to find out what could be important to write... other than the ones you and I already listed, of course.
no subject
Maybe you should get other people to write stuff for ya too. You're bound to leave somethin' out, and they might think of different stuff than ya.

[ Time to put her money where her mouth is. Not that she hesitates before putting pencil to paper, writing basically nonstop until she offers the notebook back to Xion, her flowing handwriting opposite Xion's. ]
Keep trying new things. You like kites and flying on your Garchomp. You've gotten used to me calling you Sunshine. You kissed Riku.
You're a part of my family, even if we're not related by blood. Maker knows you remind me of myself sometimes, so you'd better listen to me when I tell you not to be so reckless, because I know just how bad it gets. You need to stop winding up in the Center, or they're going to start charging you rent. You're not alone: you got me and Light and the others. We care about you, and don't you forget it.
I know a bit about where you came from, and we don't always see eye-to-eye on it, but I haven't given up trying to convince you I'm right. Because I am right. Important thing is, it doesn't change a thing, so come to me if you need to. We'll figure things out, and even if we don't we're going to have fun.
[ Some of it's silly, but there's important stuff in there. Family, trying to explain how she means it to literal-minded Xion, and the reminder that she (at least at one point) trusted Fang enough to tell her about her past. If Xion came back and didn't remember her, that would at least leave the door wide open for Xion to approach her again. Because it didn't matter if Xion remembered her or not; she was still Xion, and Fang would still watch out for her. ]
There you go. Tried not to read your stuff, so I might've repeated something.

This makes Xion laugh. Among the happiness and small bit of doubt, there is the lingering feeling of fear that she might just disappear tomorrow or something. Out of a combination of those emotions, Xion straightens up a bit and just... rushes forward to give Fang a tight hug! ]
Thank you, Fang. I'm really glad I met you, Lightning, and the rest of my friends!
[ She's not crying, sure, but there's a tightness in her chest that makes it sound like Xion's holding an emotion back. Maybe exuberance. Maybe fear. Either way! ]
no subject
Looks like everyone approves.
[ She does hear that undertone to Xion's voice, and quickly decides that she doesn't want to push on it too hard. But she's not going to let it go completely either. So even when she lets go, she's not letting Xion retreat too far. ]
I mean it, Sunshine. Every word.

[ Xion doesn't move very far herself, either. She nods eagerly, a bit of excitement suddenly welling up in her from reading the notes. It's like what her friends have been telling her: to make the time here as worth it as they can make it, since it's unknown how long either of them would stay. She hopes Fang stays. Xion hopes... she herself stays. Just a bit more. ]
And I'm still trying.
no subject
[ At least from Fang's point of view. ]
Now ya just have to get everyone else to write somethin'. Hope ya got a lot of blank pages for everyone.
no subject
Do you think they'd want to? I wouldn't want to trouble them if they really don't mind...

[ Then she gets an idea! Remembering the little treats she made earlier, she pulls away and goes back to her little group, then comes back to Fang with a plastic bag in hand. In the bag are a few bars of light blue colored ice cream inside. She pulls one out and offers it to Fang. ]
Hehehe, it's called sea-salt ice cream! My friend Roxas and I used to eat all the time back home. Namine gave me the recipe a few days ago, so... It's a victory treat?
no subject
Sea-salt, huh?
[ That's encouraging. She takes a small taste - and you'll have to excuse her surprise, Xion. ] It's good!
no subject
I'm glad! I tried to make the taste almost exactly as it is back home. It's a nice mix.
no subject
[ And an iron liver, apparently. ]

[ And then Xion proceeds to pull one out for herself and take a big bite out of it. ]

[ And she holds up her already-bitten ice cream up in the air in triumph. ]
We still have to take on the Violet Gym together.

[ She says it as a promise, but there's no real hiding that she's looking forward to it. By this point it might not actually be a challenge, but at least it'll feel like she's accomplishing something and moving forward. ]
no subject
[ She asks this as she's now taking smaller bites of her ice cream bar, even though she has a few more left. ]
no subject
I'd rather go sooner than wait, cause it'd give us greater mobility rather than havin' to trudge everywhere. That way if anything happened we could actually get there in time to do something.
no subject
You're right on that. We'd have to be prepared. I don't think that guy who was doing the attacks is going to stop anytime soon.
no subject
By the way Fang's expression darkens, that's exactly what she was thinking of. She mutters it to herself. ] ...Like to have five minutes with him.
no subject
Fang...?
no subject
It's nothing.
[ Then she looks at Xion. ] Just frustrating, knowin' he's out there and havin' to wait for him to make a move first.
[ Fang is not good at waiting, especially when it makes her feel like they're letting someone hang out to dry. Someone else is going to get hurt, and they almost need it to happen to help them find this guy. ]
