[Video | Action outside Mt. Moon]
[ The feed snaps on with a playful sounding chirp. There's the sound of wings beating before the Gear is hoisted up and is apparently flying around for a moment before the movement settles. What's now in view is Xion and Ven sitting on a bench, a sea-salt ice cream bar in each hand. It also seems like they had a brief training match as both of their practice Keyblades are seen.
It's Xion that breaks the comfortable silence after chewing off a bit of her ice cream for a moment. ]
Guess I really do have a lot to learn with the Keyblade. Thanks for the pointers, Ven.
Glad I could help, but I don't think you give yourself enough credit. You hold your own just fine already.
You think so? [ She gives a brief, shy laugh. ] I don't know... well, thank you, but now it's just making me wonder what we could use those skills for in here.
[Ven ponders that for a moment or two...] Well, you never know. Someday we might be caught without our Pokémon and need to defend ourselves, or somebody else. Using a Keyblade's all about protecting, one way or another.
It is? [ That makes her pause, glancing off to the side. ] Not just for... freeing hearts from Heartless?
That's part of protecting the worlds, but Master always said there was more than just that part.
What other parts?
Like standing up for people when they're in danger, or stopping the forces of darkness from harming the worlds. Those're really important. [He's quiet a moment or two and then adds:] You know, like knights in stories.
[ That gets her to blink and look back at him. ] I... haven't read much about knights, but they sound, well... like good people. Is that what you were back home, Ven?
[He shakes his head at that] I'm an apprentice training to be a Keyblade Master, but I've always thought it'd be nice to be a knight. Saving people and being heroic and all... plus I've got armor already.
Knights have to wear armor? [ Xion almost grins at this. ] Well, I think you make a good enough knight already.
You think so? I always read knights have to have a lord and all, so I'm not sure I count...
You mean, someone has to make them a knight? Still, from what you listed before, I don't see how you can't be a knight. Maybe someone could make you a knight here one day, Ven. You'd be really good at it.
[Ven looks up at the sky, pondering the idea. Would somebody do that here?] Maybe someone will, someday... I'd just have to wait and see, I think.
Do you think Minnie would? Isn't she a Queen? [ She has her own bit of pondering. ] Maybe Cecil, too. I heard he was a knight before he became a king, too.
I don't think it's the kind of thing you ask somebody to do, but I'm not too worried about it. [He smiles, hoping to reassure her of that] You know, I bet somebody'd knight you, if you wanted. You've looked out for people and helped them here too.
--huh? [ That sets her back a bit. ] I... I don't know about that, Ven. I wouldn't make a good knight, and, uh... [ She knows he'd probably say something against that, but being a former Organization member and all, well. ] Like you said, maybe it's not something we can ask people? [ She lets out a short, derisive laugh. ] Who'd knight me, anyway? And... I don't have a suit of armor. [ Because that obviously seems important to have as a knight. ]
[Ven lets out a small sigh, shakes his head, and pokes Xion's forehead] The armor's not that important. It's the person.
Wah- [ Bop. She rubs her forehead with her free hand and pouts. ] B-But that's what I meant, I--
[As Ven explains this and Xion flusters, Bolt slips away from Ven's shoulder and vanishes from view. Moments later he appears very close to the screen, having climbed a nearby tree.]
Pika?
[ Which startles Bell into dropping the Gear with a startled cry, and thus, end the feed. ]

If a Heartless is destroyed, the heart trapped inside it is freed from darkness. Otherwise they go on coveting the hearts of others indefinitely.

Anything else isn't a permanent solution. Trapped hearts won't be freed and Heartless reappear after a time. They're pretty numerous in some places even with keyblades, so I wouldn't wanna be without one.
